[[くり窪]]の家で[[陰謀者一味]]がかねてより進めていた「陰謀」を[[フロド・バギンズ]]に明かし、それに感動したフロドが彼らの旅への同行を認めた時、[[メリアドク・ブランディバック]]と[[ペレグリン・トゥック]]が喜びながら歌った歌。
メリアドクとペレグリンが[[トーリンとその仲間]]の[[歌>寒き霧まく山なみをこえ（詩歌）]]を参考にして、同じ節回しで歌うよう作詞した。
