** 解説 [#Explanation]

[[雪白川]]沿いにある小村(halmet)。
『[[unfinished index]]』によると、[[下馬鍬]]より一マイル下流の[[雪白川]]のそばにある村(('Village on the Snowbourn a mile below Underharrow'))。
『[[Guide to the Names in The Lord of the Rings]]』によると、[[エドラス]]と[[下馬鍬]]の間にある村(('This village was some way up the Snowbourn above Edoras, but not so far up as Underharrow'))。現代英語に直した名で、より[[ローハン語]]らしい語形は'Upburnan'。
